GENERAL INFO

All instructor-led webinars are live, scheduled, interactive discussions on Zoom, and are intended for all languages, including ASL, and are therefore taught in English for all language interpreters.  They are educational presentations with interspersed simultaneous practice.  Even the Adv. Spanish webinar trainings are educational to all language interpreters.  (See their description.)

All self-study activities are on-demand, self-guided, non-instructor-led presentations with translation practice. The self-study Advanced Spanish Translation series IS intended for Spanish interpreters only.  All the other self-study activities are for all language interpreters.

Deaf interpreters should choose the Forensics, or Ethics trainings since these have been translated into ASL for those wishing to watch those recordings.  They can also choose the self-study activities intended for all languages.

Each individual training is independent and they can be taken in any order. Missed trainings can be made up later or switched.  Recordings are available for emergency schedule conflicts.

FOR COURT INTERPRETERS

The following States have accredited ALL trainings:

FL  (2 hrs = 2.4 CIE; 3 hrs = 3.4 CIE)

FOR ASL INTERPRETERS

You mainly will be interested in the Forensics series and Ethics series of webinars which are pre-approved for RID ‘Professional Studies‘ and ‘Legal‘ credits.  If you choose the Adv. Spanish webinars, or any Self-study, those will be processed as PINRA through an RID Sponsor w/ provided instructions.  The Advanced Spanish Translation self-study activities, however, are for Spanish interpreters only.
